International regulation: Taiwan updates its list of cosmetic preservatives

Taïwan met à jour sa liste des conservateurs cosmétiques

The Taiwanese Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has revised the list of preservatives in cosmetic products. These changes will come into effect on July 1, 2020. Products manufactured before June 30, 2020 may continue to be sold within the expiry period, subject to the date of manufacture.

Lauryl isoquinolinium bromide (CAS: 93-23-2)
Not listed in Annex V of Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 (list of preservatives authorised in Europe), but is listed in the CosIng as an antimicrobial, antistatic, deodorant and surfactant)
