For the first time since its creation, the U’Cosmetics student contest will take place virtually. While Covid-19 forced the organizers to cancel the event last year, the 2021 edition will take the form of a web TV accessible by registration, on March 18, 2021, from 14h to 16h30. The theme chosen for this year will focus on solid cosmetics.
“Solid formats are back in our bathrooms. Indeed, current events and environmental issues are driving us to reinvent solid cosmetics. Natural or synthetic compositions, these products are inspired by ancestral traditions,” explains the organizing team of U’Cosmetics". “The challenge of this theme is to bring a new perspective on what exists by playing with galenics, raw materials and processes, while combining packaging that meets current issues. Cosmetic innovation is inspired by the concept of solid cosmetics, a modernized return to basics, a generator of trends and novelties. The challenge of this theme is to bring a new look at what exists by playing with galenics, raw materials and processes, while associating packaging that meets current issues.”
The competition is open to any student in the field of cosmetics from Bac+3 to Bac+5.
A jury made up of professionals in the beauty industry will be in charge of deciding between the different projects and awarding three prizes:
• The Innovation Formulation Award
• The Innovative Voncept Award
• The Jury’s Favourite Award But the public will also be asked to vote online to award the special Philippe Collas prize.
As usual, a professional conference will be held as a mark of the student competition.
