ChromaPur: the sustainable alternative to plastic microbeads by Croda

The ingredient supplier has launched ChromaPurTM CV2 and CV7. These are spheroidal cellulose powders that offer the same applications as plastic microbeads. ChromaPur can be used in both skincare and makeup.

ChromaPur is an ingredient derived from black spruce (Picea mariana), a species that grows in the forests (100% CFS) of Quebec. ChromaPur (INCI: Cellulose) is an alternative to plastic microbeads, which are banned in cosmetics in a large majority of countries.

Properties
ChromaPur allows:
• To have a soft effect on the skin
• To obtain a perceptible “blurring” effect on the skin
• To naturally blur pores, fine lines and wrinkles for an even skin tone
• To improve the performance, coverage and color intensity of makeup
• To reduce the appearance of pores
• To reduce skin shine

Technical Data
ChromaPur is an upcycling ingredient.
It is 100% natural (according to ISO 16128), easily biodegradable, vegan, Ok China and COSMOS certified by Ecocert.
