Face boosters

Logo du zoom

From the most prestigious to the most popular brands, autumn/winter is characterized by boost, the word that almost gives indigestion indigestion at the moment! The booster has the positive side that it allows you to move up a gear, as if you had placed a small turbo in your cream! Well seen in this season when the skin often experiences a little “slackening”!

Reading time
~ 3 minutes

Is the booster the new name of the serum? Not really. More flexible than the latter, it can actually be used with almost all facial treatments (with its cream, mask or serum), or alone if the skin is combination.
In fact, each one cooks according to her comfort desires and the time she has at her disposal. It is a new gesture that easily fits into the rituals of modern women. Add, mix, boost… And by the way, these products not only boost the skin, they also boost sales! So get ready, get ready, boost!

A “legitimate” gesture in a selective way or in pharmacies…

Anti-perfection treatments for young skin (Clear Start, Breakout Clearing Booster SOS anti-boutons care by Dermalogica, 30 ml, €22) to anti-aging (the entire new Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse® Boost range which includes five products dedicated to the first signs of aging: Energizing Preparator Concentrate, l00 ml, €26; Multi-correction Eye Balm Gel, 15 ml, €25; Multi-correction Silky Cream for normal to dry skin and Multi-correction Gel Cream for normal to combination skin, 40 ml, €32 each; Night Recovery Oil Balm for all skin types, ml50, €35), including oleo-boosters (Booster Energy Nutrition Concentrate Cha-Ling, 15 ml, €65), everyone goes at the boost speed !

… but more original in supermarkets

Boosters give extra sophistication to supermarket brands, such as Diadermine, which imagines two: Lift + Anti-Wrinkle Booster Hyaluronic Acid or Lift + Revitalizing Booster Vitamin C (15 ml, €9.90 each).

Laurence Dumont associates the booster with three masks.
Simply apply the booster under the mask to amplify its effects, an original way to renew the exercise of the kind for this very creative brand (Anti-Aging Regenerating Mask Care, Aqua Comfort Mask Care or Matifying Purity Mask Care, each including a 2 ml Booster Serum + a 20 ml soaked fabric mask, €5 each).

Boosters are flowing into the eye contour treatments

The booster is used consistently in eye contour treatments with a zamac massage tip that reinforces decongestion.
It is expected that a booster will do more than just a classic eye contour treatment and boost sales of these products, which can generate disappointment. Galénic’s last express relaxing eye treatment (Beauté du Regard Crème Cryo-Booster, 15 ml, €55) is explicitly sold with an ice cube base to make it clear that it should be placed in the refrigerator! According to the brand, “when placed in the refrigerator, the aqueous phase gel of the galenic structure transforms into a cushion of ice-cold water and thus optimizes its immediate effectiveness.”

The same goes for Eyeko with Eye Boost Serum, equipped with a vibrating massage tool to reduce eye swelling (15 ml, €52, at Sephora).

As for Ho Karan, the French brand dedicated to hemp oil, is launching at Sephora The Morning Miracle Anti-Fatigue Eye Booster, an anti-dark circle, anti-puffiness look booster (20 ml, €24.90).

Finally, Bio-Extracts offers at QVC duos booster + cream customizable for the eye area. For example, we choose a firming boost and a rich cream texture.
Thanks to the airless jar, the exact dosage of the cream (0.6 ml) is mixed with a precise dose of Boost (0.2 ml) on the top of the jar (Duo Soin Lift & Firm Boost, 10 ml + 15 ml, €37).

And even in the make-up….

First foray into make-up, NYX Professional Makeup imagines Away We Go Booster Liquid, to enhance the radiance of the complexion (12.6 ml, €16.90, four shades).

Well that’s true, why stop at facial skincare, the complexion also in this season needs a boost! We haven’t finished seeing the word booster come and go….
