The European major event dedicated to active ingredients for cosmetics returned to Paris for three days. From April 16 to 18, 2024, Pavillon No.1 of the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles welcomed hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors… in a very serious atmosphere!
Sophisticated scenography, animation… ingredient suppliers usually spare no expense in attracting the crowds. At the 2023 edition, a certain sobriety was noted. It seems that this trend is set to continue. The majority of stands were simple (without being bland!). Some, like Giavaudan and its “atom garden” or IES Ingrédients with its arcade game, made a point of standing out from the crowd.
The re-use boom
Sustainability is always at the heart of industry professionals’ concerns.
As a result, many exhibitors confess to having kept the same furniture from one show to the next. The aim is to “rationalize consumption”. The event’s organizers also communicated extensively on the reuse of various elements (carpets, signage, etc.).
Visitors eager for knowledge
Another highlight of this 2024 edition was the success of the conferences, particularly those dedicated to marketing trends. Usually, visitors are happy to attend, but this year’s program was particularly appealing.
Over the three days of the show, the majority of conferences were totally booked, and in order to secure your place, you had to get in early. “We weren’t expecting such an overwhelming response,” admits a member of the organizing team. “It’s quite rare to see such a long queue …
