Flush, erythrosis, couperose or rosacea, redness can take many forms and is at its worst in winter, with the wind, the cold and changes in temperature… Ranges dedicated to redness are king in pharmacies, but new, more natural alternatives are developing in Sélectif or organic shops…

While anti-redness ranges are still the preserve of pharmacies, with long-established dermocosmetic brands such as Bioderma, La Roche-Posay and Eau Thermale Avène, new products are emerging such as Rosakalm from ACM Dermatological Laboratories.
Above all, new, more plant-based and even certified organic alternatives are being offered in pharmacies and organic shops (Eau Thermale Jonzac, Melvita), as well as in selective outlets (Payot, Ren Clean Skincare, Fillmed, etc.).

Among the new products available in pharmacies, Bioderma has created Créaline Défensive Sérum, Concentré Hydratant Apaisant Longue Durée (30 ml, €28.90), a unique eco-biological solution that combats inflamm’aging and addresses the problem of premature ageing of sensitive and sensitised skin.
With a host of biomimetic ingredients (Carnosine, Vitamin E, Tetrapeptide-10, Red Sage Polyphenols, Glycerine, Hyaluronic Acid, Fucose Polymer which strengthens the skin barrier while fighting inflammation), this serum soothes and reinforces the skin’s natural defences.
Its light, milky, almost evanescent texture (an oil-in-water emulsion) is easily absorbed, and it’s naturally formulated without an ounce of fragrance!
The dermatologist-recommended brand also offers Créaline AR Anti-Redness Care (40 ml, €16.60) for sensitive skin prone to couperose, which is also available in a tinted version and BB Cream SPF 30.
