How to prepare a downstream user chemical safety report

If a downstream user's use of a substance is not covered by the supplier's exposure scenarios, they have an option to prepare a downstream user chemical safety report. This practical guide gives advice and examples on how to prepare one, including how to:
• gather information on the substance
• perform a chemical safety assessment
• document the downstream user chemical safety report
• communicate the outcome of the report to customers
• report to ECHA.

How to get started with EU chemicals legislation

ECHA has published new support pages and an introductory guide helping companies which are not yet familiar with the European chemicals legislation to understand their obligations. The web pages provide easy step-by-step information in 23 EU languages for manufacturers, importers, distributors and users of chemicals as well as only representatives.
The guide is especially useful for small and medium-sized enterprises. It gives an overview of the EU chemicals legislation and how to get started in understanding it and complying with it.
