Update your diaries: the third edition of U?cosmetics, on March 22, 2012

For the third year in a row, on Thursday 22 March 2012, the Catholic University of the West North Brittany (UCOBN, as per its French acronym) and the Anticipa Technopole (technological cluster) organize in Guingamp (in French Côtes-d'Armor) a conference with professionals from the cosmetic industry, as well as a contest in formulation and innovation opened to all the students in cosmetology from France over.

The 2012 U’cosmetics edition is focused on a topic, the “Without” Cosmetic: without parabens, without allergens, without silicones, without colourants … A new way of formulating is needed for all the professionals, brands and suppliers. It requires know-how and inventiveness.
Raw materials, new concepts for formulating, suitable packaging, the actors of the cosmetic industry will provide practical answers to formulate another way and to anticipate the tomorrow safety requirements.

The conference – The “without” cosmetic

The conference will focus on substances that are alternatives to parabens, PEG, silicones, phthalates …
How to do "Without", while assuring the formulae safety and making the products successful?
What are the ways to formulate differently while succeeding with the replacement substances?
Actors of the cosmetic industry (experts, formulators, ingredients suppliers, consultants) will provide practical answers to the new issues of formulating.
