● Research new concepts in line with the company’s positioning as an industry leader and in line with market trends;
● Carry out continuous attentiveness to new formulas and innovative ingredients on the market;
● Perform research in the scientific literature and with ingredient suppliers and know how to interpret the results;
● Perform laboratory formulation tests for new products and reformulation/improvement of existing products;
● Ensure stability monitoring of formulation tests, pilots, permanent stability, content/container compatibility;
● Establish specifications for formulas and control methods for bulk and finished products;
● Optimize and rationalize raw materials;
● Carry out the industrial transposition into pilot and production and support the training of manufacturing operators;
● Write and review manufacturing procedures (SOP);
● Participate in the resolution of problems related to manufacturing procedures (non-compliance, investigations, etc.);
● Ensure technology transfer to other departments (manufacturing, QC, training, marketing, etc.);
● Validate the scientific information relating to the products developed;
● Create technical supports such as product sheets or training;
● Participate in the development of clinical trial protocols;
● Perform purchases, inventory or cost optimization related to production or research and development;
● Collaborate with the subcontracting manager in bulk transposition;
● Participate in the continuous improvement of the R&D department;
● Propose improvements related to manufacturing, ingredients or packaging to limit the environmental footprint of the product.
