in-cosmetics 2013 to make impressive return to Paris with brand new content

The global personal care industry remains competitive despite the continued gloomy economic outlook. In 2011, for example, exports from the European market alone were worth €14.2 billion, with France topping the list and Germany, Italy and the UK not far behind*. With so much happening on an international scale, in-cosmetics 2013 will provide the perfect opportunity to debate, discuss and discover all the latest trends under one roof when it returns to Paris in April. With around 600 exhibitors expected, including over 100 first-time exhibitors, and more than 8,000 visitors expected through the doors, there will be ample opportunity to do business.

Water in the spotlight

This year, H2O has been selected as the show theme, which is particularly poignant with 2013 being the UN’s International Year of Water Cooperation. To celebrate this ingredient which is integral to virtually every cosmetic and personal care formulation, in-cosmetics has created a programme dedicated to H2O.

Two panel discussions will see brands including Estée Lauder, L’Oréal and P&G explore hot topics such as the way water is used during production and water in the skin. Visitors will also be able to discover exhibitor projects as they follow an H2O trail around the show floor to see how water can be used to create innovative products.

Two new zones

 2013 will see the addition of two new zones. Incorporating fragrance into cosmetics and personal care products poses its own unique challenges including product stability, absorption and evaporation. In the Fragrance in Cosmetics Zone , visitors can indulge their senses as they meet with fragrance houses and ingredient suppliers to discover the latest scents and learn more about formulating with fragrance.

The Testing and Regulation Zone will provide a platform for suppliers in this area to offer advice on the increasingly complex regulatory and testing landscape. Visitors …
