Hygiene and daily cares: the right programme for your body

It is essential to choose carefully one’s products. Further, it is not useless to remind you that using them the right way is also essential. Sometimes, a thorough reading of the advice provided on the label is very informative. Just not to forget to rinse a product that shall be rinsed, not to use another one more often than reasonable, to comply with the times stated for a bath, to apply the product just the right way to enhance the efficiency of the active ingredients … Every kind of cosmetic has its peculiarities.

The daily hygiene

Cleanliness is one of the first rules a mother passes on to her children. Washing oneself, obviously, is a social act, an integration action, which allows for not smelling bad and not repelling (“neatly” speaking) others by one’s dirty aspect.

Further, it is also the best means to stay in good health. On our skin, hair, teeth, deposits are constantly growing: they are due to substances which we are in contact with (dust, pollution, microbes, viruses, pieces of food …) or produced by our body (perspiration, dead cells, sebum …). Getting rid of them, by washing oneself, prevents them to become sources of harmful micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi …), causes or irritations, skin diseases, infections or illnesses.

Time for shower!
Water being second to none other ingredients, surfactants are the second major ingredients in liquid shower-gels. However, not all these cleansing and foaming substances are equivalent. Some may be strong irritants, others (often more expensive, and giving less beautiful foams; nevertheless, keep in mind that foam has nothing to do with washing efficiency!) are far better tolerated by our skins.
