CSR: strong employee expectations

RSE : une attente forte des salariés

According to the latest IFOP survey conducted for research firm Diot-Siaci Institute, employees are increasingly aware of the CSR policy pursued by their company. The environment and working conditions rank among the French’s top concerns.

The survey was carried out among a sample of 1,003 private sector employees. Interviews were conducted between January 8 and 15, 2024.

The notion of CSR is well understood by 62% of the panel. 38% of respondents said they had never heard of the concept. When asked which areas should be given priority, respondents cited:
• The environment (reduction of carbon footprint, waste management, etc.) at 76%
• Labor relations and working conditions at 75%
• Corporate governance (transparency, accountability…) at 69%
• Customer relations (respect for consumer rights, data protection, etc.) at 69%
• Human rights at 67%
• Local involvement (charitable, economic, etc.) at 67%
• Supplier management (e.g. asking suppliers to commit to CSR) at 64%

The planet, yes… but so does the quality of work!

“At the same time, and despite an undeniable degree of concern about global warming, preserving nature remains less important to them than improving their daily lives, which is much more tangible,” explains IFOP.
