The British cosmetics brand has just opened its new “green center” at the brand’s headquarters in Poole, Dorset. This building becomes the cornerstone of Lush’s responsible commitment.
The brand is very committed to the fight against global warming.
In 2015, Lush had already opened a building in the same vein to better manage its waste.
But for this new project, the English company has decided to think bigger and invest 2.3 million pounds sterling to expand the capacity of this premises.
This new Green Hub will be used to:
• shred plastic as part of the brand's Bring it Back recycling program,
• treat wastewater from manufacturing and laundry processes,
• repair machines to avoid buying new ones,
• sorting and packaging batches of surplus products for charities.
Lush also intends to preach the good word. The Green Hub will be open to the public and a series of events will be organized to raise consumer awareness of the environmental emergency and the right things to do.
