This University Degree of Cosmetology is an ongoing training and certification.
At a rate of a day per week, its 120 hours of training comprise the knowledge of the cosmetics raw materials, the major principles used when formulating and characterizing the products, the regulatory aspects, and an introduction to the tomorrow cosmetic world (natural, new processes …).
Its peculiarity: close to half the training hours are dedicated to the cosmetics formulation training.

It is open to Bachelor’s (License, in France) degrees (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biology) holders or to baccalaureate-level candidates in the frame of the Validation of Occupational Skills (in French, Validation des Acquis Professionnels, known as VAP), and addresses several types of profiles:
• people already working in the cosmetic and perfumery industries, who want to update or formalise their knowledge, to validate a training or to evolve within the company to the formulation department,
• people in occupational re-training,
• students who want to complete University studies.
The admission is managed by the Board of Directors of the UD, based on application file, followed by an interview of the candidates. Several criteria are evaluated: academic background and diplomas, professional experience, motivation, personal project…
