Berkem expands its range of floral waters

Berkem élargit sa gamme d’eaux florales

In response to the cosmetics industry’s growing market demand for natural ingredients and botanical extracts, Berkem SAS, the plant extraction subsidiary of the eponymous group, is completing its range of floral waters with four new products: bamboo, peppermint, linden and everlast waters.

Toothpaste, shampoo, make-up remover, eye contour… More and more professionals in the cosmetics industry are integrating floral waters in the composition of their products, even replacing pure water by floral water, making it a marketing argument for some.
Used for their fragrant properties and their active ingredients, floral waters (also called hydrolats) are recognised for their purifying, anti-inflammatory, regenerating, antiseptic, antioxidant and sebum-regulating virtues… Produced by a distillation process and composed of aromatic molecules, they constitute real “active waters” for formulas.
Today, the Berkem range is composed of 16 floral waters: in addition to those already on offer (Damascus rose, orange blossom, cornflower, witch hazel, jasmine, lavender, grapefruit, grape, green tea, lemon balm, lemon and Roman chamomile), it is expanding with bamboo, peppermint, linden and everlast waters.

The Bamboo water is known for its anti-inflammatory and revitalizing properties. It brings the radiance back to the skin while it soothing it. Its reparative properties provide the regeneration of the skin cells.
