In 2019, most of the booths at in-cosmetics were decked out in green to highlight the sustainable commitment of ingredient suppliers. This year, that wasn’t the case.
The reason is simple, the natural profile of actives has become a prerequisite and is no longer an element of differentiation. Sustainability was therefore present in the background. In fact, the majority of exhibitors made the effort to use furniture made of recycled materials.
Another striking fact is that there were far fewer paper brochures this year. When we are responsible, we are responsible to the end.
Holistic cosmetics
The health crisis has given a new impetus to the skincare sector. Standardized beauty canons have given way to a more human, more relaxed and therefore more current cosmetics.
This is the case for Seppic. For its texture bar, the manufacturer was inspired by the pandemic and proposed a cream base that could be customized with ingredients found in one’s cupboard (olive oil, coffee grounds, lemon juice).
