The Berkem Group, a player in plant-based chemistry, and Unipex, a specialist in the distribution of specialities, have announced their exclusive distribution agreement on French territory for the entire cosmetic range of BERKEM, the plant extraction subsidiary of the eponymous Group. The objective is to accelerate the development of the Berkem Group in a fast-growing market by relying on the expertise of a recognised player.
BERKEM addresses the cosmetics, food and nutraceutical markets by offering a catalogue of nearly 40 products divided into three categories: active ingredients (solid, liquid and technological), botanical extracts and floral waters.
Growing demand in a very dynamic market, coupled with the Berkem Group’s strategic thinking, led to this merger with Unipex. This “smart distributor” of speciality ingredients present on five markets (Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Nutraceuticals, Food/Food, Chemicals) will benefit from the presence of its teams in France with more than 450 customers and a team of 20 people for the cosmetics branch.
By completing the range distributed by Unipex, Berkem is positioning itself on the strong expectations of the market, such as organic, local and upcycling products.
