The Supervisory Board of the Gilbert Group, a player in the French pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, has entrusted the General Management of the Group to Pierre-Éric Dauxerre. He takes over from Cédric Batteur who now joins the Supervisory Board in charge of supervising the strategy and external growth projects submitted by the Management Committee.
A Doctor of Pharmacy, Pierre-Éric Dauxerre joined the Group in May 2021 at the time of the joint acquisition of Laboratoires Grimberg, of which he had become General Manager.
“My first objective will be to complete the transformation that began in January 2022, to which I am deeply committed. Each market will henceforth be addressed by a dedicated and autonomous division,” he said.
For his part, Cédric Batteur, who was appointed as CEO in 2012 following his father, has led the operational management of the Group, whose brand portfolio includes Laboratoires Gilbert, Physiodose, Physiolac, Marimer and Laino, by accelerating its growth in pharmacies and its international expansion. During his term of office, the Group carried out numerous external growth operations with the acquisition of brands and companies such as Loubsol, Cosmésoap, Cinq Mondes and, very recently, Grimberg Laboratories.
“Today the Group is evolving in very competitive markets, each with its own specificities and needs, which led us in 2021 to carry out a strategic reflection on our organisation in order to adapt and structure it in such a way as to gain in efficiency and agility”, he commented.
