To try to respond to the problem of marine pollution, the Davines group has renewed its partnership with the Plastic Bank association. The goal for 2022: for each product sold by the group, an equivalent quantity of plastic from the oceans will be collected.
Certified B-Corp in 2016, Davines has no plans to stop there. The brand is aiming for Plastic Bank’s Plastic Neutral designation (expected to be achieved by the end of 2022).
“Packaging is one of the areas of the beauty industry that generates the most impact on the planet. We have therefore set ourselves the goal of contributing to projects that offer positive and concrete results worldwide. Our commitment starts from the supply chain, which must ensure increasingly sustainable raw materials,” said Anthony Molet, CEO of Davines Group.
The plastic collection will take place in Brazil, the Philippines and Indonesia. This choice is explained by the particularly high level of marine pollution in these countries.
The collected materials are reborn as Social Plastic® raw material. This material can be reintegrated into new packaging.
