To counter consumer mistrust of the cosmetics industry, the FEBEA has developed a website providing clear information accessible to all. The Federation’s ambition is to communicate with ever greater transparency, and for this portal to become a benchmark for consumers.
“Thanks to a database containing almost 30,000 deciphered ingredients (origins, functions, scientific data…), the site offers precise, verified information on cosmetic ingredients,” explains FEBEA. “Today, the site contains over 130 expert answers to consumers’ most frequently asked questions on a wide range of topics: babies and children, animal welfare, organic and natural products, counterfeit products, DIY, the environment, labelling, ingredients, sun protection, cosmetics safety…”
The FEBEA intends to add to these questions and answers over time and in line with trends, in order to respond ever more effectively to the expectations, doubts and concerns of the French.
“The Internet is teeming with information about cosmetics, some of it erroneous or incomplete. With this initiative, we are offering consumers, professionals and influencers direct access to the knowledge of our experts. This new website is a continuation of the transparency initiative we have been pursuing for several years. With the launch of the Instagram account @leLabdeClaire, followed by the free CLAIRE mobile app, consumers now have three complementary tools for educational and reliable information on cosmetic products.”
