For several years, the French beauty products distributor has been making its environmental transition. Today, the company is moving into high gear with its new sustainable development program: Share Beauty Spread Joy.
Marionnaud’s first project: paper consumption. In two years, the company has succeeded in reducing its use of paper by two tons by giving priority to digital communication media, dematerializing sales receipts and eliminating promotional mailings to its customers. All these actions have allowed to save 145 tons of paper in two years.
Share Beauty Spread Joy, Marionnaud’s new program, is based on several key points:
• Formulating more sustainable products with responsible packaging
• Offering a less polluting delivery service
• Using recycled and recyclable materials for sales receipts and gift cards
To encourage consumers to recycle, Marionnaud has developed a loyalty system. For each package brought into the store, a 20% discount is applied to the next purchase.
“Marionnaud is also committed to environmental initiatives, such as the Clean Walk, during which employees took part in cleaning the streets of Paris. Finally, as part of its strategy, Marionnaud intends to strengthen its proximity to its communities and encourage its employees, customers and partners to become increasingly involved, in order to offer a more beautiful and sustainable world to future generations,” adds the brand.
