For the fourth consecutive year, the Yves Rocher Foundation is launching the “Terre de Femmes International Award”. This prize is intended to distinguish “the project of a woman or a group of women who are committed to the preservation of wildlife and associated ecosystems”.
“Jacques Rocher, who initiated this program, has always been convinced that women are the key to our future. More than ever, at a time of climate negotiations, he says it is necessary to collectively carry the voice of those who act on the ground every day. Despite sometimes difficult conditions, women’s pragmatism and expertise are qualities that open up innovative possibilities, give rise to new forms of solidarity or inventive forms of cooperation in favor of biodiversity,” explains the Yves Rocher Foundation. “Because tomorrow is being preserved today, because the climate emergency requires all the most active forces, we have designed the International Award as a prize open to all women citizens of the world who are committed to protecting the environment.”
The call for nominations closed on November 15, 2021. The prize will be awarded in 2022 and the winner will receive an endowment of 10,000 euros to support her project.
