The ninth European edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will be hosted in Paris on 6-8th November in Paris. It comprises four dedicated conference sessions and a technical workshop. The 2017 Sustainable Beauty Awards will be co-hosted alongside the summit and the entries are now open.
Since 2009, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit has been covering major sustainability developments in the cosmetics & personal care industry. The summit is organised by Ecovia Intelligence (formerly known as Organic Monitor).
Sustainable sourcing, green formulations, and social impacts will be featured in the European edition of the Summit. What green materials are creating sustainable cosmetics? How is ethical sourcing influencing the value chain of cosmetic ingredients? What are best-practices in sustainable sourcing? How are cosmetic and ingredient firms addressing their social footprints? Such questions will be addressed in a high-level forum.
Alongside the Summit, the winners of the Sustainable Beauty Awards will be unveiled. The aim is to give recognition to operators who are pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry. Ecovia Intelligence has announced that entries are now open for this year’s awards.
There are five award categories, each representing different aspects of sustainability:
• Green Formulations – given to a cosmetic or personal care range with a high level of natural or organic ingredients
• Sustainable Packaging – given to a new packaging format that has a low environmental footprint in terms of design and / or materials
• Sustainable Ingredient – given to a material …
