The TechnicoFlor group, which has specialised in the creation of perfume compositions, plant extracts, aromatic raw materials and food flavourings for more than 30 years, is launching its own training programme for perfumers in September 2020. The French house of composition will welcome one student per training cycle. At the end of the four years, the student will be awarded the “Junior Perfumer” certification.
This four-year training course is developed and delivered by TechnicoFlor’s teams. On the programme: a very complete course which will cover all the themes essential to the profession:
• Laboratory assistance
• Study of raw materials
• Perfume chemistry
• Olfactory agreements
• Familiarisation with regulatory constraints
• Learning about different markets
• Learning about product categories
• Origins of perfumery from yesterday to today
• Conventional perfumery work
• Natural perfumery work
• Work of reconstitution of difficult raw materials
• Sustained creative work
“Transmission is a value dear to TechnicoFlor, and it is therefore quite natural that François-Patrick Sabater, Bertrand Duchaufour and myself wanted to be able to offer young enthusiasts the opportunity to pass on the know-how of our perfumers and give them the chance to train in this wonderful profession,” explains Maxime Gransart, the Group’s Deputy Managing Director.
The French house of composition will welcome one student per training cycle, starting with Félix Deschamps, assistant perfumer for four years at TechnicoFlor, who has already started his training with Bertrand Duchaufour two years ago. He is therefore officially joining the programme today, in his third year.
In order to access this course, training in chemistry and two years’ experience as an assistant perfumer are required, with selection being made on the basis of motivation. At the end of the four years, the student will be awarded the certification of “Junior Perfumer.
Applications for the next student perfumer position (2022) should be sent to recrutement@technicoflor.fr.
