HyRetin by Contipro: the new anti-ageing anti-acne treatment

HyRetin de Contipro : le nouvel anti-âge anti-acné

It combines the biological effects of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and retinoids. This new ester developed by Contipro, with very good skin penetration, is active at very low doses and visibly improves skin that has been mistreated by age and the wearing of masks in times of pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many habits, including the way we take care of our skin. Wearing a mask, in particular, while essential for everyone’s safety, is also a very destabilising element for the skin. Under this fabric protection, heat and humidity are concentrated, and its constant rubbing on the skin causes irritation and acne eruptions, the now famous maskne.
Today’s skin therefore needs specific care to meet these new conditions, and particularly cosmetics that are both anti-acne, soothing and anti-inflammatory. And as the ageing process did not stop during the pandemic, an additional anti-ageing activity is always welcome.
Contipro’s new active ingredient, HyRetin, responds to all these characteristics.

An ester of hyaluronic and retinoic acids

Retinoids are oil-soluble vitamin A derivatives. They stimulate cell proliferation and differentiation, activate collagen production, inhibit lipogenesis, help reduce the size of sebaceous glands, and as such have anti-acne, anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory effects.

Hyaluronic acid, here of low molecular weight (10-15 kDA), is a recognized moisturizer that penetrates easily into the skin. It helps repair the skin barrier, activates collagen synthesis, and also has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties.
