Question
Can we anticipate the labelling of additional allergens on packaging before the official publication of the text? Are there any changes that could be made, especially to the list of new allergens?

Catherine Bramaud’s answer
There are still some comments made on the Commission’s proposal, which are not minor. So it is better to wait for the final version. But that does not prevent us from being prepared. Labelling will indeed be compulsory on packaging. And there will be answers to many other questions in the Guide that is prepared by Cosmetics Europe to help companies with this future labelling.

Will there be a withdrawal of products containing Homosalate from the market on 1ᵉʳ July 2025? Could you please clarify the actions to be taken with regard to the notions of placing on the market and making available on the market?

Homosalate is one of the substances that has recently been evaluated in the SCCS. …
