On 14 June 2022, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a consultation on a harmonised classification and labelling proposal from Austria for the Tetrahydrofurfuryl Methacrylate, a film forming. This consultation is open until 15 August 2022.
Tetrahydrofurfuryl Methacrylate (CAS: 2455-24-5 ; CE: 219-529-5) is a film-forming listed in the CosIng.
Currently, it is not regulated by Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 and is not listed in Annex VI of the CLP Regulation.
Austria proposes to classify the substance as:

• Skin Sens. 1A, H317 - May cause an allergic skin reaction
• Pictograms: GHS08, GHS07.
