Are you paying the right price for your sunscreen?

undefined

While more than 60% of French people are going on holiday this summer, not everyone will pay the same price for sunscreen! To avoid burning its budget before even being able to enjoy the sunny beaches, Monsieurdrive.com, the first independent food shopping comparator, conducted a study from 23 May to 22 June 2014 in a multi-brand sample of 1,414 stores in France. Results: the price differences of a sun cream can vary from simple to triple depending on the holiday location!

Count on average 11,40 € to protect your family from the sun

Monsieurdrive.com studied the evolution of the price of a 200 ml spray cream index 30 in more than 1 300 stores during 1 month. In total, more than 42 500 prices were analysed. First observation: it will cost you on average 11,40 € to protect your family from sunburn! Good news, the average price varies little from one region to another even if 2 regions stand out: on one side Champagne-Ardenne with the lowest average price (10.40 €), on the other Corsica with the highest average price (12.40 €).

In the sun as in store: be vigilant!

Monsieurdrive.com noted significant differences within the same region. On average, you can save 7.70 € on your sun cream! The biggest difference was recorded on May 25, 2014 in the department of Var, you could then buy the same cream 6,90 € or 16,70 € ! That is almost 10 € difference. A few ice creams along the beach! It is also advisable to be particularly vigilant during your Mediterranean seaside holidays where shops can take advantage of their ideal location (and your need) to make prices explode!
