CSR is gaining ground among manufacturers. For the second year running, Beiersdorf has organized a volunteer day for its employees. The aim was to encourage all employees (worldwide) to get involved in an action of solidarity and support the cause of a local charity.
For its first edition in 2023, 10,000 employees in 68 countries helped over 100 charities. “In France, some 50 people were mobilized to clean up and unclog the waters of the Bassin de la Villette, in collaboration with the association Act With Surfrider,” says the company.
On June 17, 2024, the second day of solidarity took place. 75% of employees from Beiersdorf’s French branch came together.
The day was organized in two phases. In the morning, workshops were organized by the GoodPlanet Foundation to raise awareness of forest conservation and respect for biodiversity.
The afternoon was devoted to waste collection in the Bois de Boulogne, again with the association Act With Surfrider.
