There is no doubt you have one at home, and you have no idea it is a real incendiary bomb – one of those that can destroy everything in their path, jeopardize a whole patient life of economy, sacrifices, work, and savings. And this bomb is your olive oil bottle.

Olive oil is cursed! It is one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, it foreshadows great woes, bankruptcy, and poverty. The price of olive oil has not been this low for ten years. And as a matter of fact, who are the world’s main olive oil producers? Spain, Greece, and Italy. That’s right, the very countries that have been threatening the Euro for a while: while the olive oil trend has been conquering the whole world, as far as cream and butter regions like Normandy and the north of France, it is actually a real bankruptcy Trojan Horse that enters our kitchens.

It is with these words that an economics editorial writer recently started his note. When I read it, I thought we might find ourselves in the same situation one day, in France.

Indeed, the boom of DIY cosmetics, improperly called personalized, implies your olive oil bottle could be used to make your own products.
