The natural cosmetics branch posted growth of nearly 14% in 2009, when the sector as a whole was content with a small +4%. And this trend can be found all over the world… Good news for cosmetics manufacturers and natural raw material producers. But it is accompanied by an essential corollary: the time is not only for the development of new products, but also for the essential innovation, in particular to reach, in certain categories, performances identical to those of the traditional synthetic components.
The natural: a "fashion"… that lasts
Several factors have contributed to the confirmed boom in the natural cosmetics market, and their strength as well as their anchoring in public opinion suggest that the"green trend" is becoming a real underlying trend. • Increasing public awareness (and therefore consumers) to environmental problems is increasingly reflected in their purchasing actions.
