FEBEA and IKW publish a guide to best practices in biodiversity conservation

France - Germany… this is not a soccer match poster, but the collaboration of two associations of beauty professionals. They worked together to write a white paper. It lists all the sustainable actions and strategies of the members (French and German).

The time has come to pool resources and the federations are keen to set a good example.
IKW and FEBEA have reviewed all the systems devised by their members to protect nature (supply of raw materials, cultivation, harvesting, production, transport, benefit sharing with local communities).

“In collaboration with the German association IKW, the FEBEA wanted to pool existing practices to inspire and benefit all companies, whatever their size. The time of experimentation must now give way to the deployment of good practices on a larger scale and in a more systematic way. The beauty sector wants to play its full part in building a sustainable future that protects and cares for the precious asset that is biodiversity,” said Emmanuel Guichard, General Delegate of FEBEA.
Birgit Huber, Deputy Director General of IKW, said that “saving nature is very important for cosmetics manufacturers in Germany. We therefore wanted to share the many good examples and experiences that already exist so that companies themselves become active.”

This white paper is intended for all players in the industry, not just members of the two federations.
