In order to make its contribution to forest conservation, the group has committed to :
• Ensure that its paper, paper packaging and tissue supply chains do not include fiber from old-growth and endangered forests by 2022
• Redirect its sourcing to protect forests and the habitat of endangered species worldwide and promote free, prior and informed consent and the rights and title of indigenous communities

In addition, LVMH announced that it is participating as a partner in UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) project to combat deforestation in the Amazon. “We are committed to participating in the rehabilitation of five million hectares of habitat for fauna and flora around the world and to limiting the environmental impact of our activities,” said LVMH.

More generally, the group’s sustainable development plan (called Life 360) calls for a reduction in carbon emissions, greater transparency and a greater commitment to the circular economy.
