Procter&Gamble’s objectives are ambitious, but the roadmap is well laid out.

The group wants to :
• Accelerate the use of renewable electricity
• Decarbonize its supply chain
• Make greater use of renewable thermal energy

The group is also convinced that it has a role to play in educating and accompanying people. It therefore intends to put in place more tools to help and raise awareness among its users to adopt the right gestures at home. For example, Procter&Gamble, through its Tide and Ariel laundry detergent brands, encourages cold washing to save energy.

“We are committed to using P&G’s innovation and ingenuity to find new solutions to combat climate change,” said David S. Taylor, P&G’s Chairman, President and CEO. “The task ahead is urgent, challenging and goes beyond any one company or country. P&G is tackling these challenges head on by reducing its footprint and leveraging the company’s scale to drive unprecedented collaboration across its value chain.”
