Rituals achieves B-Corp certification

Rituals obtient la certification B-Corp

The Rituals brand has just entered the closed club of cosmetic companies to hold the B-Corp stamp. This certification is, among other things, a guarantee of social, environmental and economic responsibility. A precious sesame at a time when consumers are becoming more and more demanding on these issues.

After three years of trying, Rituals has successfully achieved B-Corp certification.
“To apply for B Corp certification, a company must complete a rigorous assessment of over 200 questions that vary by business area. To be eligible, the company must achieve a score of more than 80 out of 200, and we are proud to announce that Rituals has achieved a score of 93.2 points. Once a member of the club, you can’t rest on your laurels, as certification must be renewed every three years. The 360-degree assessment by B Lab (the independent assessment organization) can take several months, as it reviews all aspects of your business. The certification is divided into five areas: governance, employees, customers, community and environment. It evaluates every piece of information, from CO2 emissions to charitable donations to maternity leave. To achieve certification, a company must detail its commitments in these areas, demonstrate its ability to measure its efforts, and demonstrate improvements,” explains Rituals.

Thus, the brand confides that it has an ambitious roadmap for the years to come:
• By 2023, all formulas will be made from at least 90% natural ingredients
