Monoprix has joined forces with TerraCycle and L’Oréal France, Signal and Gillette to accelerate and encourage the recycling of hygiene and beauty products that do not yet have a recycling channel in France. To make this ecological and solidarity-based ambition a reality, these players are launching for the first time joint collection points for everyday hygiene and beauty products.
Make-up products, deodorants, plastic jars, flexible packaging for wipes or refills, toothpaste, manual toothbrushes or electric toothbrush heads and finally used razors and blades of all brands will be collected thanks to the deployment of these collection points in 140 Monoprix shops in France.
This collection system is a powerful lever to encourage behavioural changes while supporting a solidarity initiative, since part of the collected waste will be transformed into garden equipment and then donated to the integration association “Les Jardins du Béton”. Les Jardins du Béton are shared gardens for solidarity and integration, whose aim is to promote the well-being and autonomy of a public excluded from economic and social exchanges. They are intended to cultivate both social and professional integration projects and to educate in environmental protection.
