Respect for diversity is an important concept for young people aged 15 to 24. Y Pulse, an agency that specializes in understanding trends related to younger generations, has compiled a list of the brands that Zs (Americans and Europeans) find most inclusive.
“When we talk about brands that ‘reflect diversity,’ we’re referring to players who prioritize inclusion in all areas of their company. For consumers, a company that truly inspires difference is one that creates products (and services) for a multitude of sizes, skin tones, gender expressions and demonstrates commitment in its hiring practices,” explains YPulse.
U.S. Ranking
YPulse listed the 50 most inclusive brands (across all industries).
In the top 10, only one cosmetic brand is present: Fenty Beauty (#2).
In the rest of the ranking, we find Dove (#18), E.L.F (#30), Ulta Beauty (#31), Old Spice (#32) and Sephora (#36).
European ranking
For the young Zs in Western Europe (Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom), no cosmetic brand is present in the top 10. We have to wait until the 12th place to find Nivea.
Fenty Beauty (#13) and Kiko Milano (#35) follow.
