Despite its sulphurous character which divides public opinion, TikTok is full of beauty trends. Every month, the Nelly Rodi forecasting firm makes an in-depth survey in order to identify the most popular “trends” among users.
“Before, digital spaces were the last playgrounds for brands to showcase their products. Now, the roles are exchanged. Internet users create their own makeup and share it on social networks, giving manufacturers new ideas for developing new ranges,” says Nelly Rodi.
Hot glue makeup
“Carried by augmented reality, the Metaverse, blue and purple colors, our world is impregnated with digital aesthetics. TikTok users are fond of these codes bordering on the unreal, which particularly influence makeup enthusiasts,” explains the firm.
Using glue (adapted to the face), consumers create shapes on their skin and color them with iridescent eye shadow.
Body serum
After the skinification of the hair sector, it’s the body care segment that’s getting into the act.
Gone are the days of the basic moisturizer. Today, people want products capable of treating specific problems such as lack of firmness or ingrown hairs.
