In its latest report, “Top Trends for 2024 & Beyond”, WGSN has highlighted several trends that are set to influence the beauty industry.
Hail to virtual assistants
Why bother when you can delegate? More and more brands are relying on online virtual assistants to streamline the shopping experience. Consumers can benefit from personalized advice and simplified after-sales service.
Creating with artificial intelligence
“Brands will increasingly create with generative AI, improving experimentation and productivity,” explains WGSN.
A touch of apricot
Voted Pantone color 2024, “Apricot Crush” will make its way everywhere this year. “It’s a light, balancing tone. It recalls the benefits of apricots and oranges, rich in antioxidants, as well as the beauty of nature. This flagship hue is particularly appreciated for boosting mood, inspiring hope and positivity in uncertain times.”
Ever more natural… and respectful of the earth
For products to be sustainable, raw materials must be sustainable… and it all starts with the soil. “More and more brands will be implementing circular systems and supporting regenerative agriculture. In packaging, active compostable materials that release soil-beneficial elements such as nitrogen and potassium when composted will gain ground.”
