The first lipstick to be designed in a square, faceted glass case, it was inspired by the mirrors on the staircase of Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment on rue Cambon. Refillable, it keeps like a precious jewel and comes in a palette of unique colors born of Chanel’s history. Ultimate, virtuous luxury, resolutely out of the ephemeral!

Inspired by a legendary address, 31 rue Cambon, the cradle of Chanel creation, this is the most exclusive of lipsticks! All in glass, like a prism of light, 31 Le Rouge (€165, refill €75) offers the elegance of a jewel and comes in twelve intensely luminous satin-finish shades worked to the very last pigment.

To reveal the brilliance of each color, oil-micronized pigments have been combined with cellulose powder and enhanced with opalescent mother-of-pearl.
With millimetric precision, like a haute couture garment, these 12 shades draw on the unique heritage of the Maison.

But what really sets this lipstick apart is its refillable design, a true technical feat with no aesthetic compromises. It took four years of development to transform the apparent fragility of its walls into strength, and to design the innovative refill that inserts with a click.
Chanel summoned the virtuosity of a Japanese master glassmaker to sculpt these slender lines. A technical and creative challenge of invisible complexity.

The formula, meanwhile, is enriched with Gaujacq gardenia oil (a Chanel-exclusive ingredient), camellia esters and maracuja oil, which plumps lips (stimulating the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin).
