This burning oriental is inspired by the spicy aromas of coffee with cardamom that has permeated the memory and imagination of Thierry Wasser (Maître Parfumeur Guerlain).
The love affair between Guerlain and the Orient has continued for a century. Les Absolus d’Orient collection exalts a universe where the richness of the notes, the intensity of the trail and the opulence of the materials meet, thus prolonging the close link that has been woven between Guerlain and this mythical Orient, the ancestral cradle of perfumery.
This new opus is no exception to the rule. Irresistibly oriental, the new fragrance Épices Exquises (Collection Les Absolus d’Orient, eau de parfum 125 ml, €174, from April) captures in a bottle the spicy and contrasting aromas of coffee and cardamom, in an olfactory chiaroscuro that awakens the senses.
“I wanted to capture the surprising scent of cardamom coffee that I am offered every time I visit the Middle East. The unique blend of spices in this coffee fills my memory with deliciously contrary sensations. The fresh accents of cardamom at the top mingle with a warm, peppery and sensual base,” confides Thierry Wasser.
