Pets, the new vector of communication

Much more than just vegan formulas, these American make-up brands not only highlight animal welfare in their communications, they also take concrete action on behalf of our four-legged companions, or offer toys that look like cosmetics!

Consumers are sensitive to animal-friendly cosmetics and to brands’ commitments in this area.
Especially when they go a little further than the Leaping Bunny certification (to date, 2371 American or Canadian brands are certified, according to the label) affixed to their packs.
This is the case for Hourglass, Rare Beauty, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Milk makeup and Charlotte Tilbury.

These American make-up brands confirm their strong commitment to the animal cause.
Naturally, they are vegan, “Cruelty Free” (i.e. contain no substances of animal origin and do not test on animals, as required by regulations) and PETA-approved.

Some reaffirm this with a sense of humor, such as Rare Beauty, whose website offers dog toys in the shape of mascara (Pawfect Strokes Mascara Dog Toy) or liquid blush (Soft Pooch Blush Dog Toy, €21 each). These toys have been created to honor the Leaping Bunny certification.
With their plush tubes and removable handles, they are a reminder that Selena Gomez’s brand has been Cruelty free since day one, and that our four-legged friends are as rare and precious as we are!
