We all have a lipstick sleeping in a drawer. Rose Pirate, a new beauty brand, proposes to give it a second life, by reusing our tube and refilling it with a balm with a 100% natural formula. Long live the power of upcycling!

Giving a new life to these fetish objects that are lipsticks, this is the excellent initiative of Audrey Ducardonnet, a make-up enthusiast, who worked for 15 years in the Studio of Make-up Creation of Chanel. She has just created her company: Rose Pirate, after having successfully tested the idea on a participative financing website.

This new service allows to reuse lipstick tubes that we forget in our bathroom and that we don’t want to throw away, either because they are beautiful objects, or because they have a sentimental value, or because their color doesn’t suit us (or no longer), or because they have aged (their smell has become rancid). This upcycling process can be repeated endlessly.

Concretely, you send your old tube to the Bois-Colombes headquarters. The tube is emptied & sterilized (without chemicals). The old color stick is replaced by a colorless nourishing balm with a 100% natural, cruelty-free and vegan formula, and finally sent back to its sender 15 days later.
The whole thing costs €15 (including postage). The balm is formulated with sunflower and rose flower waxes, shea butter, apricot kernel oil. Its red antioxidant core does not tint the lips (its natural color is …
