Liquid, solid, powder, chewable or reconstitutable… It’s still too early to sound the death knell for toothpaste, but one thing is sure, more ecological alternatives exist!
Solid formulas
This is the first texture that is free of paste. Very economical, this toothpaste lasts a long time. Packaged in a reusable aluminum box or in a cardboard case that can often be refilled, it foams slightly and offers the same aromas as paste. As for its use, you just have to wet your brush and go back and forth on the solid toothpaste 3 or 4 times.
It was found at Gaiia in the form of a small black ingot with activated carbon (Dentifrice Solide Bio menthe-charbon-menthol, 30 g, €7.90, refill 30 g, €6.90) or Cosmo Naturel (Dentifrice Solide Blanchissant à l’argile et citron bio, 23 g, €4.60).
The newest ones can be found at Pachamamaï (Dentifrice Solide Crystal, Black is Black, Candiz for children with strawberry flavor, 20 g metal box, €10.50 each) and Aroma-Zone which imagines a formula based on calcium carbonate, coconut oil, siwak powder, and birch xylitol, known for its sweet taste and preventive action against cavities (Organic solid toothpaste with mint, aluminum box 20 g, €3.90 + eco-refill in recyclable kraft bag 20 g, €3.50).
All are certified organic.
