Perfumed oils, sexy fragrances, passion red bottles with a little green touch in the air (upcycled rose, eco-responsible juices)… Perfumery is doing its best and letting its limited editions bloom to seduce Valentines.
The rose in the spotlight
Diptyque celebrates the rose with the most exuberant of florists (Maurice Harris) and his new limited edition Eau Rose Eau de parfum (75 ml, €140). It summons the most unusual accords naturally present in the queen of flowers: chamomile, artichoke (perfumers are wont to say that the most beautiful rose essences smell like artichoke), lychee. With an upcycled rose (firad rose) that is in line with the House’s sustainability approach.
The distillation water of the damascena rose, usually discarded, is here subject to a second extraction to capture its fresh lychee accents. A complex and innovative process that gives its name to this so-called “sustainable” rose. And to illustrate this, Maurice Harris has created a case with a baroque floral decor, a bouquet in his image, spiced up with a touch of madness. A delicate flower or a juicy fruit here, a green vegetable there… Chamomile, artichoke, lychee and rose interact in an abundance of whimsical beauty.
