The “skinification” of hair gives rise to nightly hair care products with sophisticated textures (serums in mind), designed not to stain the pillow and to repair the hair while you sleep.

René Furterer was one of the first to offer an ethical shea butter night cream to nourish and repair very dry hair in its Karité Nutri leave-in range (Nuit Capillaire, Soin de nuit nutrition intense, 75 ml, €22.90). Its dry and powdery touch was thought to leave no trace on the pillow and offer 8 hours of nutrition, regeneration and deep restructuring.
When you wake up, your hair is revitalized, soft, supple and shiny.

This fall, it’s the light, fast-absorbing texture of the serum that wins out, like that of Aveda (Botanical Repair™ Night Repair Serum Leave-In Repair Treatment, 100 ml, €45) or L’Occitane en Provence, more focused on the scalp (Scalp Night Serum 5 Essential Oils, 50 ml, €30). Enriched with niacinamide and immortelle essential oil, the latter protects, soothes and moisturizes all scalps.

Aveda’s night serum, on the other hand, focuses more on the lengths and ends, thanks in particular to nangai oil, which helps rebuild split ends. Vegan and made of 99% naturally derived ingredients, it offers intense plant-based repair and helps create new bridges in the heart of the hair overnight.
