The Vegan Society is the world’s gold standard for vegan certification in many sectors, and is a mark of confidence for The Body Shop products, as its process is so thorough, with meticulous evaluation of each supplier and raw material manufacturer.
In concrete terms, 4,000 ingredients and over 1,000 references had to be validated (face and body care products, fragrances, make-up, etc.)! The brand has achieved the ambitious target it had set itself for 2021, when “only” 60% of its range was Vegan Society approved.
