Under the spell of lychees

Its fruity, borderline floral scent (reminiscent of roses) is winning over perfumes and skincare products alike. In perfumery, it gives a new elegance to gourmet scents. In skincare, rich in vitamin C, it’s also a powerful antioxidant that stimulates collagen production.

Popularised by Pierre Hermé and his famous Ispahan macaroon (which combines rose, lychee and raspberry) with its exotic, voluptuous flavour, lychee is now making its way into winter fragrances.
It’s a delicious, rose-like fragrance, with a fruity acidity that’s uniquely its own!

Kayali (Huda Beauty) has understood this and has dedicated its new fragrance to it: Eden Sparkling Lychee 39 (eau de parfum 100 ml, €92, from Sephora), a playful, fruity-floral scent that combines lychee with blackcurrant and candied violet.
Mona Kattan chose lychee as the star ingredient for its sparkling facets and the way it plays so well with the floral and gourmand notes.

Succulent yet refined, appetising and pulpy, it remains elegant. Like Chloé Nomade (eau de parfum 100 ml, €176), Delina Parfums de Marly, a resolutely modern floral bouquet where lychee blends with rose (eau de parfum 75 ml, €245) or Sugar Lychee by Fresh (eau de parfum 100 ml, €105), a delicately sweet, woody scent that strikes a skilful balance between lychee, amber and sandalwood.
It is accompanied by an equally fruity body lotion and shower gel (Body Lotion, €29, Body Wash €24).
