Produits au rappel

You may have them in your cupboards. Maybe, you use them, still. Beware: they are dangerous, illegal, harmful… and are the subject of a recall or ban by the European sanitary authorities. Underneath, you may find all the cosmetic products targeted by the RAPEX alert system this week: products that can be mistaken for foodstuffs and a serum for eyelashes containing a pharmacologically active substance.

Danger: The products present a choking risk. Due to its characteristic form, colour and size, the product may be mistaken for foodstuff.
Small parts can be easily detached or bitten off the product and this may lead children to put them in the mouth and choke.
The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation

Measures taken by economic operators and ordered by public authorities : Ban on the marketing of the product and any accompanying measures

Danger: The products present a chemical risk. It contains the pharmacologically active substance bimatoprost.
This could result in ocular and ophthalmic side-effects (e.g. itching and swelling of the eyelids, eyelid inflammation, hyper-pigmentation of the eyelids, conjunctival hyperaemia, eye pain or allergic reaction).
