The Association des fabricants de savon de Marseille (AFSM) has applied to the Institut national de la propriété industrielle (INPI) for approval of the specifications for the geographical indication'Savon de Marseille'. This request is currently under public inquiry.
A notice relating to this request was published in the Official Journal on 21 October. It opened a two-month public inquiry procedure that runs until 21 December 2015. During this period, any person may make observations to the INPI. The draft specification for the geographical indication'Savon de Marseille' can be consulted on the INPI website.
